Many Techniques

In the Higher Yogas section of class, you’ll learn many different meditation techniques that help you let go of your mental conflicts and turbulence to create a calm, centered state of mind. These simple practices will take only 5-15 minutes of your time, either in class or at home. You’ll also learn a number of "life-skill" techniques that you can do right in the middle of a stressful situation to retain your calm, focused state. These practices may be as simple as a breathing practice or visualization.


If you have already been reading about yoga, you may know that there are approximately seven different kinds of yoga. During the Higher Yogas part of our classes, we teach techniques from all of these main yogas to help you find the kind of yoga thatle were sitting in a room and each was asked what his goals were and what he perceived as his strengths and nature, there would probably be 20 different answers. We are all individuals. A particular kind of yoga, or combination of yogas, is best suited to each individual’s nature.
